The Minnesota Lions Eye Bank employs full-time and part-time employees, students and professionals. Employees work in the administrative office, in the laboratory, or “in the field” throughout Minnesota and parts of North Dakota and western Wisconsin.
The eye bank is seeking an individual with excellent organizational, and critical thinking skills for a Laboratory Coordinator position. Laboratory coordinators maintain surgical instruments and equipment, order laboratory supplies, and help prepare human tissue for transplant procedures.
The lab coordinator position requires basic lab skills, understanding of aseptic technique, ability to follow safety guidelines in a health science setting, a commitment to detail, and the ability to operate specialty surgical equipment.
Candidates for the laboratory coordinator position must have 2 years of college coursework in Biomedical Science or Health Care plus 2 years of work experience in a health care setting or experience in a health care or laboratory setting to total 4 years. Hiring is contingent on the completion of a successful background check.
