As an organization specializing in eye donation, the Minnesota Lions Eye Bank actively recovers research eye tissue, and about one-half of the donated eyes received by the eye bank are distributed for research and education. The Minnesota Lions Eye Bank is one of the largest providers of eye tissue for research and medical education in the United States.

The Minnesota Lions Eye Bank can provide the following tissues:

  • Whole globes
  • Corneas
  • Post globes
  • Disease-specific tissue
